" Phyllis Newton or Rosemary Cosgrove could give you specific sizes.  Otherwise I'd shoot for medium lap size -- 45 x 55 at least. "

Martha Nordstrand Workshop Supply List

Basic Supply List for “The Great Glue Stick screwdriver Caper”

(Martha Nordstrand’s Workshop)

PLEASE NOTE:  THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY $15 KIT FEE for this class.  The kit will include the pattern and templates.

1.         Set of small flat edge and Phillips screwdrivers. They can be found in hardware and $.99 Stores and come in small plastic cases. I will bring some to sell at cost.

 2.        ®Avery’s glue stick (orange, yellow, pink package) 2-3. I do not recommend any other glue stick!!!!!

 3.         Sharp small scissors for cutting paper, Sharp small fabric scissors.

 4.         Roxanne’s  ® “Glue-Baste-it” or  other fabric basting glue. These are washable glues.

5.         Permanent Fabric glue…®Aleene’s “Its OK to Wash it”, or ® “Jewel it” are two good Permanent glues. This is optional but helpful to have. Another wonderful one is the new Fabric Fusion by Aleene’s it also comes in a pen which I love.   Michael’s or Joanne’s also carries Aleene’s Tacky Pack which is a set of two permanent and one basting glues for those who cannot find the Roxanne’s Glue-it-Baste-it.

6.         Small acrylic or plastic cutting board…Rotary Cutter boards are too porous, better to use a piece of plastic ..You need a piece that is at least 8 X 11.  I buy cheap bread boards or cutting boards at the 99 cent store or at flea markets.

7.         Small plastic cup for water.

8.         Baby Wipes or wipes to clean hands and boards.

9.         Basic sewing box supplies…pins, thimbles, needles

10.       Pieces of scrap fabrics in orange, yellow, gold. Purple and green. I will try to send some ahead with other supplies.

11.       Pens or pencils to take notes.
